Once you have a home sleep study with a Z-Machine or Ares sleep study, you can get a prescription for treatment from the MD. This must be done with an MD in sleep medicine and can be done in most instances through telemedicine face-to-face consults with that MD. You should check with your insurance carrier or Medicare to ensure you can get a prescription this way if you wish to submit these costs to your insurance carrier.
